Choosing and ordering a tailored wedding suit from Norton & Townsend is incredibly simple and starts with a visit from one of our skilled tailors. We’ll visit you at your home or office -wherever is best for you. If you prefer, we also offer consultation appointments at our shops in London and Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
During your first appointment your tailor will take numerous measurements, before talking through the range of options. Your wedding suit can be as traditional or contemporary as you like as choosing a bespoke suit means you have the option to add your own personal stamp to your outfit. From a traditional morning suit, lounge suit or tuxedo, through a lightweight linen suit for a wedding somewhere warm, your tailor will give you the guidance you need to choose the perfect suit for you.
We’ll offer you a choice of thousands of fabric, including pure wools, cashmere, linen and blends, alongside linings, buttons and more. We know that choosing from such a huge range can be difficult so your tailor will be on hand to help you select the perfect fabrics for your chosen design.
Once a design, fabrics and styling details have been finalised it’s over to our team of pattern cutters who’ll translate your design and measurements into a unique pattern. The next step is when our talented seamstresses and tailor take over: it usually takes around six weeks to make a bespoke suit so once this stage is almost complete, we’ll be in touch to arrange an interim fitting appointment. During this appointment you’ll try on your semi-completed suit so your tailor can note any alterations which need to be made. We aim to carry out alterations as quickly as possible so once this has happened, we’ll deliver your tailored wedding suit to you.
