As experienced bespoke tailors, Norton & Townsend are taking a look at how well the celebrities suited and booted for the big night.

We have collated a few of the best outfits from the male actors, fresh off the red carpet.

Let’s see if their style lives up to their acting skills.

This year on the red carpet, it was more about texture than colour.

While the actors tended to stick to darker shades of deep blue and blacks for their made to measure suits, it was the fabric that took a front seat at the BAFTAS for 2015.

Playing with combinations of cloths such as silks and velvets, added a classic yet jazzy feel to the style of the night.

Mark Ruffalo opted for silk, incorporating dark blue and black to match his shirt & tie combination to create a suave, modern guise.

Eddie Redmayne looked very regal this year in his midnight blue velour matching trousers and jacket. Complete with white shirt, white pocket square and black bow tie, he successfully created a simple, classic, elegant look.

Benedict Cumberbatch presented the definitive combination for a black tie event. His black blazer, trousers, jacket and bow tie arrangement looked so good, it made us doubt trying anything different.

It may be true that David Beckham would look good in anything, however this man does know how to dress. A contemporary take on classic black tie, David exchanges a black jacket with a midnight blue while matching up with black lapels and bow tie.

Douglas Booth mixes both colours and textures, adding a splash of colour to other elements of a classic black tie outfit. His sage green velour jacket is just enough to create a look that stands out from the crowd, but not overbearingly so. A well thought through, seasonal and extremely stylish ensemble.
