At Norton & Townsend we believe in keeping bespoke tailoring as simple as possible, without having to compromise on quality. To ensure that choosing and ordering a bespoke suit is stress-free, we’ll bring hand-finished tailoring to you. We have a team of highly experienced and skilled travelling tailors who’ll visit you at home or the office – wherever is most convenient for you. Alternatively, you’re welcome to visit us in one of our two small showrooms in Spitalfields, London and Ilkley, West Yorkshire.

During your first appointment you’ll be able to discuss what you’d like with your personal tailor who’ll help you choose the perfect fabric. From pure wool and cashmere, through to silk blends, pure linen and many more, we offer an incredible choice of thousands of fabrics. We know that such a huge choice can be daunting so your tailor will be on hand throughout to help you make the best choice.
Don’t forget that ‘going bespoke’ is the ideal opportunity to put your own personal stamp on a garment so from your choice of collar or lapel style, through to lining fabric and buttons, we’ll help you choose stylish touches which reflect your unique sense of style.
Bespoke tailoring is the only way to achieve that all-important perfect fit so your tailor will take numerous measurements, whilst also taking into account your body shape, stance and gait. Our pattern cutters will translate your measurements into templates which our tailors and seamstresses will transform into the finished garment.
We’re not happy unless you’re 100% happy so we’ll arrange a fitting appointment before taking final payment. If any alterations are required we’ll carry these out as quickly as possible to ensure you’re completely satisfied.
