    Jacket Style

This is a selection of our more popular jacket styles. Single breasted options are available in a choice of fastenings, the most popular being 2 front buttons. Double breasted jackets are less popular but nevertheless an important part of our catalogue. Shooting jackets and gilets, morning and tail coats, overcoats etc are all available.

    Lapel

Notched lapels are the most popular and we can raise or lower the notch according to a client’s preference. Peaks are the norm for double breasted styles and some evening wear jackets. Shawl lapels are traditionally used for dinner jackets. All the lapels are available in different widths.

    Cuffs

It is our normal practice to provide a functional cuff on our bespoke jackets. Also known as a surgeon’s cuff, this feature originates from the days when doctors rolled up their jacket sleeves to avoid getting their cuffs dirty whilst performing operations. These days we can customise the cuff with contrast thread, flashes of lining and slanted button holes.

    Jacket Pockets

We have dozens of jacket pocket variations. The most popular are here but please note we can vary the angle of the slant, the width of the flap and even the colour of the pocket bag should you require.

    Vents

A vent makes more room for the wearer to move comfortably and also lets the jacket drape nicely avoiding creases. Side vents is the more traditional approach. A centre vent can help maintain a slim jacket silhouette. The vent opening can be customised to show a little flash of lining if desired. No vent is of course another option.

    Trousers Pockets

Frogmouth, jetted, straight and slanted… the number of pocket options is huge and this selection doesn’t even touch on back pockets. Our usual configuration would include slanted pockets but as always with bespoke, you decide.

    Pleats

A flat front looks very neat but if the wearer requires a little more room for comfort, pleats can help. Reverse pleats are more discrete, only opening a little when worn. Forward facing pleats open further so giving even more room.

    Waistcoats

Worn as part of a three piece suit or on their own, waistcoats are becoming increasingly fashionable. Our popular classic style is least fussy but the addition of a lapel or double breasted fastening creates a practical alternative to a jacket for some clients.
