Spring/summer 2014 is all about pastel tailoring and 1950s shapes. Combining traditional linen shades of eggshell and oatmeal tan, with wool white, sky blue and neutral shirts and accessories, is the way to get you in the summer mood!

Navy and electric blue linen also made an appearance in the London collections and will certainly give you a contemporary edge this summer, whether in the office or out in the sun. The blue suit is a favourite on the catwalk this spring/summer, offset by a crisp white shirt. Try a sky blue double breasted jacket with flannel trousers, or a navy linen blazer with a single pleat trouser.

For footwear, try a pair of loafers and or let your feet breathe with woven leather shoes in tan. If the summer showers are threatening to ruin your day, cover up with a double breasted boating coat.
