Once again, Norton & Townsend’s trade stand at the Cheltenham Festival attracted a lot of attention.
Tailor Debbie Stevens who takes care of clients in the Home Counties, reported record sales and enquiries from customers new and old.
“This is where our nationwide visiting tailor service is more relevant than ever”, says Debbie. “We have had enquiries from Edinburgh, York, London and the South East. It’s a truly national event.”
Debbie’s clients include the top jockey Robert ‘Chocolate’ Thornton who took delivery of a new dinner suit during Festival week.
N&Ts collection of tweeds and country twist fabrics of all weights were in demand at the Festival, not only for traditional race-going and country set, but also the more fashion conscious client. Natural tweed colours and traditional designs, herringbones and checks are on trend and collections such as British woven “Glorious Twelfth” bunch offer the country look in a city weight fabric.
